📖 Today’s Catholic Readings: • 1st Reading – 2 Maccabees 6:18–31 Eleazar, a wise and elderly scribe, is ordered to eat pork against God’s law. Choosing faithfulness over compromise, he refuses—even when offered a way to pretend obedience. He accepts death with peace, declaring that it is better to die with honor than live in deceit. His courage leaves a timeless example of integrity for all generations. • Responsorial Psalm – Psalm 3:2–3, 4–5, 6–7 “The Lord upholds me.” When enemies rise and fear surrounds, God is our shield and our strength. He hears our cries, lifts our heads, and sustains our hearts through every trial. • Gospel – Luke 19:1–10 Zacchaeus, the wealthy tax collector, longs to see Jesus but is too short to see over the crowd. Climbing a sycamore tree, he finds himself seen—truly seen—by the Lord. Jesus calls him by name: “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.” In that moment of mercy, Zacchaeus’ heart changes; he gives half his wealth to the poor and repays what he’s taken unjustly. Jesus declares, “Today salvation has come to this house.” 💡 Reflection: Jesus sees beyond our sins and failures to the person we can become through grace. Like Zacchaeus, we are called to climb above our pride and distractions to seek the face of Christ. When we open our hearts to Him, He not only visits our “house” — He transforms it into a home of mercy, joy, and renewal. Salvation begins the moment we let Him in. Eleazar and Zacchaeus show two paths of holiness: steadfast courage and humble repentance. Both lead to the same end — union with God. ✨ Key Verse: “Today salvation has come to this house.” (Luke 19:9) 🙏 Prayer: Lord Jesus, You call me by name, even when I feel unworthy. Come into the house of my heart and renew it with Your mercy. Give me the courage of Eleazar to live with integrity, and the humility of Zacchaeus to seek You with joy. May my life reflect the saving love that transforms every sinner into a saint. Amen. 👉 Subscribe for Daily Prayers and Reflections:    / @prayeveryday-catholic   📌 Watch the Daily Mass Readings Playlist:    • Daily Mass Readings & Reflections – Pray E...   #DailyMassReadings #CatholicFaith #GospelReflection #FaithInAction #Zacchaeus #Salvation #JesusCallsUs #PrayEveryday #Integrity #MercyAndGrace #LiveTheWord #CatholicDailyGospel
