Bishop Burbidge's Homily for All Souls’ Day

While we are still on this side of Heaven, Bishop Burbidge says, we are merely pilgrims on a journey to our eternal home. In light of this truth, we can be confident in our Lord's resurrection even while mourning the death of a loved one. This hope moves us forward on our pilgrimage with joy. May we all be united in prayer as we remember our faithfully departed as we pray: "Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed rest in peace. Amen."
