Family Needs Help Solving Hit and Run Death

By: Robert PriceTheres a possible new lead in a weekend hit-and-run that left a young father dead.20-year-old Paul Michael Hernandez was killed Saturday night at the intersection of South Flores and East Southcross Boulevard.Hernandez was walking to a nearby convenience store when police say a car ran a red light and slammed into him.Now a witness has come forward to describe the car as a white four-door Chevy Malibu with major front end damage.The victim's family is collecting donations for funeral expenses.You can find them at the intersection of South Flores and East Southcross Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday.The family will also be holding a plate sale this Sunday at noon in front of a duplex at 117 Compton Avenue.You can also contact the family directly at 609-0486.
