One of our last walks in the city center took place on Hauptwache. We were lucky to become participants of the festival and observe the events taking place here. The city decided to celebrate the arrival of the New Year 2015 - the Year of the Snake - this weekend. Tents and a stage were set up on the Hauptwache square. The tents offered souvenirs, Chinese food and various drinks. Congratulations from those present at this celebration were heard from the stage. There were also songs and performances by dancers. The bright, colorful costumes of the artists added to the festive mood. Everything we had to observe that day is captured in this video.
