You can find it at    • Relaxing bedtime LoTR Hobbit Tolkien ...   Mae Govannen, and thank you for visiting. This is a relaxation story for admirers of Tolkien's Middle Earth. This recording/production picks up at the end of the Battle of Five Armies in “The Hobbit,” as Bilbo and Gandalf make the return journey to the Shire. Like many of us, Bilbo wrestles with a yin-yang aspect to his personality: an adventurous (Tookish) side, and an easy-going, casual side (Bagginsish). When these aspects are in balance, there is peace and harmony. I created this recording for those of you who are experiencing a little too much “Tookishness”: too much adventure, stress, and maybe even anxiety in your life. It’s my hope this recording will provide you with a little “Baggins balance” and a short respite from the worries of the world. While I’ve tried to stay true to the source material, I am a storyteller, so allow me to use creative license from time to time. This tale, of course, is not recorded in Tolkien’s anthology, “The Hobbit,” or anywhere else. I am merely suggesting that it could have happened–it might have happened–or perhaps, that it should have happened, even though it didn’t. In any case, I hope you enjoy taking this nighttime journey with me into Middle Earth, and I hope this addition to Professor Tolkien’s tapestry of work might meet with his approval. By the way, I'll share with you that one of the reasons why I created this video was that I didn't like the way Beorn was portrayed in Peter Jackson's version of "The Hobbit." No disrespect to the actor who played Beorn, but the writers neutered his personality. They took a character who was brash, kindhearted, and unapologetic and made him dark, brooding, and boring. I wanted to recreate Beorn more in line with how Tolkien wrote about him. I enjoyed putting this together. I hope you enjoy listening to it. Namárië
