TODAY'S GOSPEL: Matthew 10:16-23 The Gospel of Matthew reminds us that the Christian vocation is a very honest call. The Lord tells us the cost of discipleship right off the bat and His call is a call of heroism, knowing that the Kingdom of God is a counter-cultural cause that will be met with many challenges. But while we are called to heroism, prudence is also very important. In the end, it’s not about being heroic and completing things no matter what, but it is about being missionaries that will bring to completion the Lord’s plan.
