The Moscow City Court did not consider a complaint to extend the arrest to The Wall Street Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich. An American citizen was detained by the Russian Federal Security Service on March 29, 2023, allegedly for espionage and collecting information about a Russian defense company. And on the 30th, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow arrested the journalist. Gershkovich is the first American reporter accused of spying in Russia since the Cold War.
