Police: Teen shot several times in central Fresno after confrontation
A teenager was shot Thursday night in central Fresno, according to Fresno Police. At around 6:10 p.m., officers responded to a call at Pleasant Avenue and Fountain Way for a ShotSpotter alert, picking up six rounds. Lt. Bill Dooley with the Fresno Police Department says a 16-year-old was in an argument with three other juveniles when one of them pulled out a gun and shot him several times in the torso. The victim is in stable but critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center, Dooley says. The victims are still on the run, and Dooley says they fled in a SUV on Fountain Way.
