Making my way through the Scream movie rankings, here is my personal list of all fifteen Scream 3 characters ranked from best to worst. What are your rankings? Scream Franchise Characters Ranked: • Every SCREAM Character Ranked | TIER ... Does Scream 3 suck? Did Scream 3 ruin the franchise? Why do people hate Scream 3 and consider it to be the worst Scream movie? I can't really say objectively, as this trequel does have it's supporters, but I can tell you that a Scream movie is only as good as it's characters. And even with some of the Best Scream characters, it's plain to see that this effort was not up to snuff with the quality of the last two movies. In fact, Scream 3 was pushed forward, in spite of the fact that Kevin Williamson was not available to write the screenplay, and Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott) was only available for 20 days of filming. This resulted in a very rushed effort on everybody's part, where rewrites were being conducted right up until the final days of shooting. But it really did seem like they went into this one without a solid plan, other than a loose premise based on the idea of bringing Ghostface to Hollywood, to haunt the set of Stab 3, in an attempt to be super meta by having a movie within a movie. And the end result seemed less crafty and very heavy handed. So if the question is 'Which Scream movie is the worst?' my answer would subjectively be Scream 3. Ranking all of the Scream movies, and the characters within them, I will be considering many things. Such as the Scream 3 alternate opening, the question 'Was there a second killer in Scream 3?' etc. and try to fairly review the characters and story in my commentary in a way that can best be explained. A few caveats before you begin watching. I am only ranking the characters from the main Scream 3 cast, who appear in the pictured credits in the end. Which is a shame because there are some great cameos here. So just in case anyone is wondering, Carrie Fisher would have cracked the top 5. But I also think she should have had a larger role. For the returning characters, ie Sidney, Gale, Dewey etc, their placement on this list is not indicative of their standing in the franchise as a whole, but rather ranked relative to their appearance in Scream 3, and in relation to the other characters in this movie. And finally, this list as well as any list of the Scream series ranked is just my personal opinion. If you don't agree with me, that's fine.
