What Era Do The Batman Arkham Games Take Place In?

The official time period that the Batman Arkham games are set in is certainly one of the most confusing aspects of the Arkhamverse with no "definitive" answers. Over the years, I've seen many fans try to solve this conundrum; some say the Batman Arkham Series takes place in the late 1900's, others argue more modern day, and I've even seen a couple talk about how the games could be set in the future, we really have no idea... Or… Do we? You see, despite there not being any really definitive years to stamp on the Arkhamverse, it’s not for a lack of evidence; in fact, there’s a WHOLE lot of dates, years, and evidence like technological advancements and car models shown throughout the entire Batman Arkham Series. So why can’t we determine when the Arkham games take place? These dates between the games also happen to contradict each other constantly, so it’s been very hard for us Arkham fans to stamp a final, correct time period on the Arkhamverse.
