Ares, seeking to mold Kratos into the perfect warrior, tricked him into murdering his own wife and daughter. When the truth was revealed, Kratos was consumed by guilt and rage. Cursed with the ashes of his family, his skin turned ghostly white—earning him the title "Ghost of Sparta." Haunted by his past, Kratos swore vengeance on Ares. The gods, fearing Ares' growing madness, offered Kratos a chance at redemption. He was tasked with finding Pandora’s Box, the key to destroying a god. Kratos fought through countless mythological beasts, conquered deadly trials, and endured unbearable pain. In the end, he opened Pandora’s Box and, infused with godlike power, defeated Ares in a brutal battle. Though victorious, Kratos remained tormented. When the gods refused to relieve his suffering, he attempted to end his life. But Athena intervened, revealing that the gods had other plans.
