Bishop's service in the church of Comana Monastery

SUNDAY AFTER THE EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS IN THE CHURCH OF ST. NICOLAE OF THE COMANA MONASTERY VOIEVODALE On the Solemnity of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Primate of the Diocese of Giurgiu, His Eminence Bishop Dr. Ambrozie celebrated the Holy and Divine Liturgy, surrounded by a select council of priests and deacons, in the church of St. Nicholas of the Comana Monastery voievodale in Giurgiu County. In his teaching, the Hierarch spoke to the faithful present about the significance of the Holy Cross, explaining to them the connection between the Holy Cross and the Savior Jesus Christ. After the teaching, the Hierarch congratulated Father Arhim. Mihail Muscariu, the abbot of the monastery, for the pastoral-missionary activity carried out and urged the faithful to be with the monastery community and to contribute to the painting works that are now being carried out at the monastery church. The faithful present had the opportunity to worship the parts of the relics of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine, kept in the monastery church, the Icon of St. Hierarch Nicholas with a silver-plated clasp, as well as the holy icon “The Guide” or “Hodigitria”, brought from the Vatopedi Monastery of Mount Athos. Finally, all those present received from their Hierarch the latest issues of the magazine “Orthodox Family”, icons and crosses.
