In full transparency as long as I dont buy processed food products I am easily keeping to my budget goals of around $500 a month. I just wanted to see where we were at on our spending and its glaringly obvious if we stop buying crap food and wander shopping its really easy to keep the budget for food super low. Do you ever think about "where did I learn that was healthy or who told me that was healthy?" Think about it.. Where or who told you the foods you are eating are healthy? Did you know that about 85% of our education on what is healthy to eat comes from commercialism? Think about it.. REALLY think about what or who told you that food item was healthy. Was it a package that said "I'm healthy"? Was it a commercial that said "made for health"? And while you are thinking about it and ask your self what background does that person or product have to honestly say that to you? Did you know legally eggs can NOT be marked as a healthy? BY LAW!? Something to think about. If you do nothing else for yourself. EDUCATE YOURSELF PROPERLY ON WHAT FOOD GOES IN YOUR MOUTH. If your Doctor is the one giving you nutritional advice on what should eat or should not to eat, before you simply/blindly follow that advice, ask your doctor how many hours of nutritional training they have then decide if nutritional advice is something you should be taking from them. ALWAYS question. ALWAYS do your own research. You are the expert on your body not your doctor.
