Initially this wasn’t quite what I was imagining, but every year around this time I can’t help but think about Jonghyun. And all the others we’ve lost around this time of year. I think it’s endearing that as humans we all have the urge to get cozy and warm in the winter- but that’s to compensate for how cold and lonely things can get. I think this song is so beautiful because it’s a song about acceptance. Accepting the joy of loving someone, and the wretched pain of losing them. Going through the seasons of grief and continuing to bring them love and warmth anyway. I hope my cover sends some warmth to you, too. You are so very loved.
