SCOTT CAMPBELL Draws Eight CATWOMEN Through Eight Decades in New CATWOMAN 80TH Variants via newsarama The milestone Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular is due out June 3, and DC have begun releasing variants. In addition to the main cover by Joelle Jones, there are variants by Adam Hughes (1940s variant), Travis Charest (1950s), J. Scott Campbell (1960s), Frank Cho (1970s), Stanley "Artgerm" Lau (1980s), Gabriele Dell'Otto (1990s), Jim Lee/Scott Williams/Alex Sinclair (2000s), Jeehyung Lee (2010s), Natali Sanders (KRS Comics exclusive), Shannon Maer (Comic Mint exclusive), J. Scott Campbell (exclusive to his online store), Neal Adams (exclusive to his online store), and a blank variant. Our gal Catwoman is turning 80 next year (and looking very good, if we meow say), and DC is celebrating with nothing less than with a huge soiree, invite only, packed with creators who mean the most to her and to whom she means the most! Stories featured in this 100-page spectacular include a tail—sorry, tale—that takes place at the end of the Brubaker/Stewart Catwoman run, in honor of artist Darwyn Cooke. Plus, Catwoman is caught by an exotic cat collector, runs into a wannabe thief trying to prove himself as her apprentice, encounters a mystery involving memorabilia from alternate continuities, and of course some Bat/Cat fun. DC Comics Announces New Catwoman Creative Team for September via CBR.com DC Comics' mainline Catwoman title gets a new creative team this September, with writer Ram V and artist Fernando Blanco set to take over the book with issue #25. V and Blanco's run writing for DC's resident cat burglar Selina Kyle begins with Catwoman #25 this September, the Burbank-based publisher revealed. However, both creators have lent their talents to the character before. Previously, V served as a guest writer on Catwoman #14 and #15, while Blanco served as a secondary artist to Joëlle Jones during her time writing and illustrating the book. Furthermore, while V and Blanco's run on Catwoman doesn't officially begin for a few months, readers will actually get to catch a sneak peek at their take on the character in just a few days. V and Blanco collaborated on "Addicted to Trouble," a story featured in the Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular -- which is slated for release this Tuesday, June 2.
