It’s not fair. How often do we hear that complaint that someone is getting a better opportunity than the other. Jealously we too can make the same objection. Today’s readings remind us that God’s ways are unlike the expectations of the human community. God is abundantly generous. Further God invites us to participate in the mission, the ‘vineyard’ in the Gospel reading. When we begin isn’t important its that we are ready and willing to roll up our sleeves and contribute.
