How to Make a 2-Tier Macrame Plant Hanger WITHOUT a Wooden Ring!
In this video, I'm going to show you how to make a super cute and trendy 2-tier macrame plant hanger WITHOUT using a wooden ring. This is a great beginner project for those of you who want to learn more macrame knots as this pattern uses 5 knots to make - Gathering knot, Square knot, Berry knot, Double Half Hitch knot, and Half Hitch knot. The pattern I'll be making incorporates a small metal ring at the top with surrounding Berry knots. This is the perfect pattern to learn how to incorporate other materials like rings to make unique designs. This pattern is easy to follow, and once you get the hang of it, you can use the same knot patterns to create all sorts of different designs. So grab some cord and let's get started! Leave about 1 cm of space before the first Square knot. 10:21 - Step #5: Repeat for 3 more Berry knots. 12:14 - Step #6: Make an alternating Square knot in between all Berry knots. 14:01 - Step #7: Place the macrame through the metal ring and attach all vertical cords onto the ring with Double Half Hitch ("DHH") knots. 17:28 - Step #8: Make a Berry knot in between 2 Square knots from above and then repeat the Berry knots all around. 20:18 - Step #9: Make a row of alternating Square knots all around. 21:23 - Step #10: Add one more row of Alternating Square knots all around. 22:26 - Step #11: Work in groups of 2 cords underneath a Square knot to make an alternating Half Hitch chain. Make a total of 22 alternating Half Hitch knots. 24:28 - Step #12: Repeat the pattern underneath the remaining Square knots. There should be a total of 5 alternating Half Hitch chains. 25:05 - Step #13: Take 2 chain patterns beside each other and make a Square knot about 5 cm to 6 cm downwards.
