Ivan Sings (Piano Solo by A. Khachaturian)

Ivan Sings is one of my favorite pieces in the Suite, Adventures of Ivan, by Aram Khachaturian. It's poignant, introspective, and desperately trying to communicate with anyone who will listen. I assign this piece to my early intermediate piano students who have a flair for rubato and showcasing a lyrical melody.
