PRANCING THROUGH THE SNOW ON MY 50-FOOT LEGS | Let's Play Shadow of Destiny part 9
What? We make it through 2 whole chapters in this episode? Madness!? We are massive fools for missing the antidote before, but we finally get it, and then it's time for Dr. Who. Come to think of it, this whole game is like a Dr. Who Full Metal Alchemist fanfic...well, whatever! We're getting pretty close to the (first) end, so let's play Shadow of Destiny! Welcome to our our blind playthrough of Shadow of Destiny psp! It's an updated version of the ps2 game, called Shadow of Memories in Japan. First off, this game is apparently pretty short, so we should have it done within a few weeks; this won't be a 70-epsidoe epic like Deadly Premonition. This is a story/puzzle adventure game with multiple endings and with time travel at its core, so Shadow of Destiny gameplay is pretty light and is mainly about going to the right place at the right time and using the right item. The story begins when our hero, Eike Kusch, is murdered, an auspicious start to any tale. But it just won't stop; Eike gets murdered again and again, and it's our job to not only use time travel to prevent his death, but also to get to the bottom of things...and the "bottom" appears to be that Eike is the key to basically everything important that's ever happened in Lebensbaum. Wibbley-wobbley timey wimeys! It takes a while for the story to pick up, but once it does, it's genuinely a nice tale...Let's Play Shadow of Destiny! I'm curious about something. If anyone reads this in the description, please comment "Long Legs." This is part of a highly scientific study that will influence future content and our approach to it, and there just may be a prize involved, too. About Shadow of Destiny: Released by Konami in 2001, the psp Shadow of Destiny made it to North America in 2010. (From Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_...) Set in a fictional German town named Lebensbaum (Life's Tree), Shadow of Memories revolves around a 22-year-old man named Eike Kusch, who dies in the beginning of the game from being stabbed after leaving a small diner. However, he is resurrected by Homunculus (voiced by Charles Martinet in English), a djinn or genie, who offers to send him back in time to prevent his death and gives him the time-traveling digipad. Eike explores four eras?2001, 1979/1980, 1902 and 1580 to 1584 ? as he attempts to unmask his killer and figure out a way of stopping his own murder at various points in the present. Along the way he encounters several characters: Dana, a modern-day waitress whom he accidentally brings back to the year 1580 and loses; the present-day fortune teller, who tells Eike the hour of his death; Eckart Brum, the curator of a private art museum who lost his wife and infant daughter in a shooting; Dr. Wolfgang Wagner, an alchemist living in 1580 with his wife, Helena, and their two children, Hugo and Margarete; and Alfred Brum, the great-grandfather of Eckart.
