Today, on the Old Calendar, we celebrate the Feast of Saint Stephen of Hungary. Born around 969 in Pannonia, Saint Stephen became the first King of Hungary in the year 1000. Known for his justice, piety, and devotion to the Catholic faith, he established dioceses and strengthened the Church throughout his kingdom before his death in 1038.
