Summer in Sicily! My 11 Recommendations
When is the best time to see Sicily? Sicily in summer of course! In this video I feature 11 Sicilian towns (destinations really) which span my travels in this wonderful island from the past 3 summers. Sicily tourism seems to be picking up despite the pandemic. If you’re looking for “the real Italy” and want something authentic and unforgettable, I definitely recommend a vacation in Sicily! There simply is so much culture and things to see in this island, the biggest in the Mediterranean. A Sicily road trip is something in particular I recommend. Why? If you love road trips in general Sicily is something unique and honestly it’s the only way I’d travel around the island given the often unreliable nature of public transportation down there! On a serious note, I felt it was only fitting that I mention another aspect of Sicilian culture and I actually stumbled upon it as I was making this video in Caltanissetta. I saw a poster of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino who were two Italian magistrates. Those who are remembered, never die and so I wanted to dedicate a few seconds of my video to them. RIP.
