PICTURE USED: Picture used is from Auckland 11.09.96, and I used this as it’s part of the same leg (Oceania Leg) THOUGHTS: This is probably one of the worst vocal performances that Michael has ever given in Billie Jean during the tour honestly. So please for the love of God TELL ME WHY I LIKE IT?! Also I actually think this is the shortest breakdown of the HIStory Tour we have so far. It’s not even a minute long? I wonder why? It sounds like he did very few thrusts (or started off early like in Sydney 11.14.96) as signified by the single ‘chi pa chi’ (usually it goes 3 times), and he did the moonwalk extremely early too considering the audience’s reaction as well as the back vocalists saying ‘ha, ha, ha’ after as they usually do when Michael walks back to the middle of the stage. I’m guessing he then did some robotics shortly, and then went to get the mic. I don’t think he did a sideglide because the audience usually starts freaking out when he does that. Pretty interesting to think about and to visualize in your head. Also when Michael sings his last ‘hoo’, the ‘dun dun’ keys play before they should. Sad it’s super LQ tho, like it sounds like the person who recorded the tape, brought the tape to work the next day. The person works at a construction site, so as he wanted to show it to his colleague on the top of the building they were constructing, the mf accidentally dropped it and it fell 4 stories down and into the cement mix. So bro yelled out “OH CRIKEY MY BLOODY TAPE” and he jumped off the building into the cement mix. An hour later emergency health care arrived and got him out of the cement mix, and they found out bro had been laying in the cement mix so long that the tape had been fused to his body. So when he later wanted to play the tape, he realized he had to rip it off his body. But did he? Guess you’ll never know, you facking bastards, aaaah I’m from Australia so I swear a lot mate, crikey hell WHAT I DID: First off thanks to @VinVonVoom for sending the file. Pitch correction, tempo correction, EQ and tried to reduce the bass distortion as best I could.
