Webinar 3 An Introduction to Psychosis Part 1

This webinar is designed to provide helpful information in relation to psychotic disorders and their presentation. It promotes understanding into the symptoms of one of the most common psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, and the level of impact these may have on daily functioning. We’ll talk about the key aspects of treatment, based on the stress-vulnerability model, including treatment components that address the both the biology and stress-related aspects of the illness. In the second part of this webinar we will discuss some ways in which you can support individuals struggling with psychosis. We’ll talk about what is important in an evidence-based assessment and the intervention procedures currently used in clinical practice to support managing difficulties and preventing long-term issues.
