Black History Storyteller: Pauline Elizabeth Hopkins

Back again for 2026 to highlight the lives of a few Black American storytellers. For this video I will be giving a brief summary of the life and work of performer, writer, editor, Feminist and Civil Rights activist, Pauline Elizabeth Hopkins (1859-1930). "Fiction is of great value to any people as a preserver of manners and customs — religious, political and social. It is a record of growth and development from generation to generation.
