Left’s reaction to Dominic Perrottet’s religion is ‘quite alarming’

Former ACU vice-chancellor Greg Craven says the backlash from the left over NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet’s Catholicism is “quite alarming”. “We think we’ve come so far in the last 50 or 60 years, but people who were around then will remember that some of the great historic heroes of the left absolutely opposed the selection of John F. Kennedy … because he was a Catholic. “So we really haven’t moved terribly far over that period.”
