NOVEMBER SOED CAMPAIGN | GO TO GOD | PRAYER & PETITION | STANDING FIRM | FULL ARMOR OF GOD | WEEK 2

This month we are focusing on PRAYER with our “GO TO GOD” | PRAYER & PETITION Campaign. We will gather weekly on Zoom to read select scriptures that deal with certain things that we will PRAY & PETITION for: Week 2 - STANDING FIRM -Ephesians 6:10-18 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,... -------- Pray with us... Heavenly Father we thank You that we can be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We thank You for providing us with the full armor of God that we are able to stand firm against the devil’s schemes. We also thank You for revealing to us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, the authorities, and the powers of this world’s darkness and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. Our prayer is that we would be intentional about taking up the full armor of God daily so that when the day of evil comes we will be able to stand our ground. We pray that we can stand firm being fully equipped with TRUTH as a belt around our waist, with RIGHTEOUSNESS as a breastplate, and as fitted on our feet THE GOSPEL OF PEACE. We also pray that we use our FAITH as a shield that is able to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. We pray that we would see our SALVATION as a helmet and THE WORD OF GOD as our sword of the Spirit. We pray that we would PRAY IN THE SPIRIT at all times with prayers and petitions and that we would stay alert and persevere in our prayers for all the saints. We petition You to reveal to us the schemes (plans, intents, and strategies) of the devil against our lives. We ask that You cause us to recognize each and every attack of darkness and show us how to resist (withstand, combat, counter, and endure) them all. We call on You God to strengthen us in the Lord Jesus and in His mighty power.
