Line a 22 cm (9-inch) springform pan with parchment paper. Bake the apple batter for 25–30 minutes until lightly golden and set. Pour the glaze over the cake and sprinkle with sliced almonds. Bake for an additional 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Let the cake cool completely before slicing (at least 1 hour). DESCRIPTION This elegant French Apple Cake with Caramel Glaze is soft, moist and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Made with thinly sliced apples and topped with a rich caramel glaze and toasted almonds, it’s a simple yet impressive dessert for any occasion. I adjusted the recipe to reduce the sweetness and create a more balanced flavor – especially if you prefer desserts that are not overly sweet. For best results, use slightly tart apples.
