Third Sunday of Advent—Joy Malachi 3:1-4 and Luke 3:1-18 The Joy of the Advent Adventure Expectations for joy abound in anticipation of this holiday season. We expect to be filled with joy by just the right music or the just the right decorations or holiday treats. We expect others to be filled with joy when we impart the perfect gift to them. The true gift of Christmas is in knowing that joy is always ours.
