Ex teacher James Ball sentenced in manslaughter case against brother in law
Cicero ex-teacher James Ball was sentenced for manslaughter Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Onondaga County Courthouse for the death of his brother-in-law Christopher Ross in 2017 after drinking and fighting at Ball's home. While Onondaga District Attorney William Fitzpatrick pushed for a slightly higher sentence, Ball's legal team pleaded for parole. Onondaga County judge Thomas Miller laid out the potential for the highest possible sentence against Ball's character and remorse and delivered his final verdict.
