Iraqi forces make progress in retaking Fallujah from ISIL

Clashes between Iraqi government forces and the Islamic State group outside the city of Fallujah continued on Thursday. It was the fourth day of a large-scale military operation to drive militants out of their key stronghold west of Baghdad. The Iraqi military claims to have killed over 100 militants and two extremist group leaders and seized a large number of weapons. ISIL has been in control of the city for more than two years.
