Week 3: JOY The third candle of Advent is JOY. Advent JOY is a deep, abiding joy that comes from knowing that we are loved, forgiven, and empowered by God. If we truly trust in our Provident God and rely on God’s promises, our hearts can be filled with joy and that joy becomes the anchor of our strength. Even as we face difficulties or overcome obstacles in our daily lives, that joy can help us cultivate a culture of joy and celebration around us. We can encourage one another, widen our circle of friends, and be a joyful witness of God’s love to the world. Choose JOY; it’s contagious!
