Rudiger Koch, 59, has broken the world record for longest time spent living underwater, surpassing Joseph Dituri's 100-day feat. Koch spent 120 days in a 30-square-meter capsule off the coast of Panama, 11 meters below the surface. His self-sufficient capsule included amenities like a bed, toilet, and internet access, powered by solar panels. Koch's endeavor aimed to demonstrate the viability of underwater human settlements, inspired by Captain Nemo from 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea'.
