As they escape the pharmacy, the enemies swarm the group, and Lee has to make a tough decision on whether to assist his nerdy pal Doug or the dashing journalist Carley. In the end, most of the group manages to make it safe and sound to the adjacent motel, where they plan to barricade themselves while waiting for military support. As an Appendix to Episode 1, two short stories from the "400 Days" DLC are also included - the tale of Vince the inmate, who has to decide which of his two pals he has to take along and which one to sacrifice to the walkers; and that of the hippie guy Wyatt and his friend Eddie as they get stranded in the woods, surrounded by walkers, cops AND bandits on all sides.
