You may have heard that ILYA (Independent Living for Young Adults) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. ILYA is our UU volunteer social action program supporting young adults here in Delaware as they age out of foster care. None of ILYA’s accomplishments could have been done without the enthusiastic support, both with volunteer time and financial resources, of this beloved congregation. Just how does ILYA find these young adults? Hear from others within the church and in our community about the impact ILYA has had over the past 20 years. Learn ways in which members of this congregation have contributed collectively and individually to better the lives of these sometimes forgotten young adults in our community.
