First Sunday of Advent. Within a few weeks after Election Day, we prepare now to celebrate the birth of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. While our politics may have divided us, Advent brings us together to worship the Newborn King and to allow his life, message, ministry, death, and resurrection to shape and craft our lives. ***** Chestnut Ridge Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a community-focused Open and Affirming church that seeks to meet the needs of our community, to lovingly share the radical story of God's grace in order to change lives, and to humbly serve God through our time, talents, and tithes. We’re located in Marietta, Georgia, in East Cobb, at the corner of Post Oak Tritt and Johnson Ferry Rd. We’re also the home of CrossRoads Community Garden, a Blessing Box to feed our neighbors, and a Little Free Library.
