Daily Gospel: Thursday, May 7, 2026 - John 15:9-11 - Catholic Bible
"Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today, we are invited to reflect on unity in faith and remaining in the love of Christ through the day's readings. In the Acts of the Apostles (15:7-21), we see the early Church facing a decisive moment, discerning, in the light of the Holy Spirit, how to welcome Gentiles without imposing unnecessary burdens. In the Gospel of John (15:9-11), Jesus reveals to us the path to true joy: remaining in his love, keeping his commandments. These readings show us that authentic faith is born from an encounter with God's grace and is expressed in love lived concretely. First Reading (Acts 15:7-21): In this passage, we follow the so-called Council of Jerusalem, where the apostles and elders gather to discern a fundamental question: do Gentiles who convert need to follow all the prescriptions of Jewish Law? Peter stands up and testifies that God makes no distinction between people, granting the Holy Spirit also to Gentiles. James reinforces this view, proposing that heavy demands not be imposed, but only essential guidelines for life in community. This reading teaches us that salvation is a gift of grace, not the result of human impositions, and that the Church is called to welcome it with wisdom, unity, and charity. Gospel (John 15:9-11): Jesus invites us to remain in his love, just as He remains in the Father's love. This remaining is not something passive, but is realized in the living out of the commandments, especially in love. Christ reveals that all this has one objective: that our joy may be complete. God's love is not just a feeling, but a living reality that transforms our existence and leads us to true happiness. This Gospel calls us to cultivate a deep relationship with Christ, living in a way that is consistent with his teachings. These readings invite us to live an authentic faith, rooted in grace and expressed in love. May we welcome others with mercy and remain firm in the love of Christ, finding in him the true joy that the world cannot offer. 📖 Readings of the Day: First Reading: Acts 15:7-21 Gospel: John 15:9-11 🌟 Related Hashtags: #BibleReading #DailyReflection #WordOfGod #ActsOfTheApostles #GospelOfJohn #LoveOfChrist #UnityInFaith #JoyInGod #ChristianLife #CatholicBible List of Top Keywords: Acts 15, John 15, Love of Christ, Unity of the Church, Grace of God, Christian Faith, Word of God, Spiritual Joy, Council of Jerusalem, Community Life Become a member of this channel and get benefits: / @bibliacatolica Follow us also: TikTok: / bibliacatolicaonline Instagram: / bibliacatolica Telegram: https://t.me/bibliacatolicaonline Twitter: / bibliacatolica Facebook: https://fb.me/bibliacatolicaonline/ Pinterest: / bibliacatolica "
