Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy returns to social media as she shares heartbreaking throwback snap with the One Direction star Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has shared a heartbreaking throwback snap with the One Direction star after his tragic death. The model, 25, last posted on her Instagram in October last year when she paid tribute to Liam after he passed away aged 31. But she returned to social media on Friday for the first time in four months as she shared an old picture of her and Liam. Kate shared a snap of her and Liam staring lovingly at each other surrounded by white pillars sometime before he died. She also shared a second photo, of her back in the same location alone as she opened up about travelling there without him. 'I thought this place would feel empty without you, but instead, it's filled with the warmth of this moment we shared,' she wrote. Kate will appear in her first TV interview since Liam's death on an episode of ITV's Lorraine Kelly set to air next week, where she will discuss the troubled star's mental health struggles and delve into the dark side of fame. She attended Liam's funeral last year in Buckinghamshire and has mostly stayed away from the spotlight since his devastating passing in October last year. But now, she has been persuaded to open up about her beloved partner's struggles as part of Lorraine's new mental health campaign March4March, according to the Mirror. An insider told the publication how 'brave' Kate was to agree to the interview and said: 'She talks to Lorraine about their life together as well as his mental health struggles. 'It's all part of Lorraine's new March4March campaign. She was persuaded to take part in it. 'It wasn't easy because she has been trying to keep a low profile since his death but the media interest in her has been huge.' Kate is set to discuss a range of topics from the positive memories she shared with Liam, to the darker side of fame. She will also touch on how she has handled his death and grief. The social influencer will delve into their two-year relationship and what life has been like for her since Liam passed away. Lorraine's new campaign, March4March aims to get viewers to walk three million steps collectively - the same as walking the whole length of the UK. In a previous interview with The Sun, Kate revealed the couple had 'our own separate lives' as she spoke out for the first time following his death at the age of 31. Liam's American girlfriend Kate had originally accompanied him to Argentina, ostensibly to watch his touring former bandmate Niall Horan perform at Buenos Aires venue Movistar Arena. She left a day early in order to to look after their rescue dog, Nala at their home in Florida. #liampayne #katecassidy #celebrity
