Teen dies after Gold Coast balcony fall

A 17-year-old Australian girl died after falling from the balcony of an apartment where she was staying during a graduation celebration. Isabelle Coleman was staying with a friend in the 26th floor of Tower 3 of the Chevron Renaissance resort in Gold Coast, Queensland, when the tragedy occurred. Several witnesses said they saw Coleman fall from the balcony of the apartment at around 9:30pm. She landed in a fifth floor garden area. Paramedics were called to the scene and performed CPR but were unable to save Coleman. Police said there was no one else present in the apartment at the time of the incident. The tragedy happened at the end of a traditional weeklong celebration of the end of school known in Australia as "schoolies week."
