December 3rd Sunday Service (8:30a)

December 3rd Sunday Service (8:30a)

On the first Sunday of Advent, we will be doing something a little different. We will be having a morning of Prayer and Worship as we celebrate this season of waiting and hoping. We live in this tension of celebrating and trusting in the historical birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus and what that means for us and the whole world. And yet, we are still waiting for the full fulfillment of Jesus' work of redemption. In that waiting, Jesus invites us to come and cast our cares to him. We hope as we hear different passages read, pray to God in different ways and sing songs of worship, we will learn how to do that together. Every Sunday morning, we observe, consider, and wonder together; we worship God if we believe in Him. We hear stories from ordinary people; we sing; we cast our cares and practice quietness; we talk with each other; we hear a message about Jesus from the Bible. Together, we look to Jesus to better understand ourselves, each other, and the world.
