Stability in Every Season (12.29.2024 / Public Version)

"Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom... Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning;... Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching" ~Luke 12:32, 35, 37 As we come to the end of another year, we focus on the future. What will make the next year better than the past? We find a lot of wasted energy when we make decisions on the fly, in crisis, based on emotional highs and lows, or in moments of immaturity… times of instability. As believers, we rest on the firm foundations of scripture and biblical principles that empower us to weather storms, maintain progress and remain centered in hard times as well as in seasons of prosperity. Instability is mentioned by the Apostles Peter, James and John as a weakness that would cause many to fall and to be deceived in critical hours. Our stability is increased when we remain grounded in the word, maintain godly relationships, and allow the ministry of the Holy Spirit to guide our steps and keep our focus. The greater our stability, the higher and secure we can build, grow and develop. We must remain faithful, keep clear focus, and have our motivations consecrated before the Lord so that we may prosper in every season. “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” ~2 Corinthians 4:17 Sunday’s Message – Stable in Every Season (12.29.2024) The River Church, Haverhill 10AM
