New Rifle Scope Owner? Setting up the Side Focus Parallax on an Arken Optic.
This is the second part to a short series for those new to Precision optics or owning their first Arken Optic. In this video i discuss the importance of the Side Focus or Parallax adjustment. I discuss the purpose and how to properly set the focus to ensure best accuracy. I mention the multiple layers of glass within the scope and how the view can be distorted causing misalignment with the reticle resulting in misses. Think of it light a magnifying glass and sunlight. You need to hold it at perfect angle to center the heat and beam; the visual of your scope is much the same. All Aken Optics come with the side focus the EP4, EP5, SH4, SH4 Gen2, Sh4J, EP8, EPL4, LH4...they all got it. Now some have numbers to focus on distance of target others do not. But regardless of having numbers its important to understand those are only references. Best practice is to focus the target crisp and clear with the side focus and then use the head movement method to ensure the reticle is not moving when pointed at intended target. Thanks for checking in , next up the turrets!
