Charity Chandler-Cole will share her story of the harsh realities she found when experiencing systems that are benevolently disguised as “protection”… Join us for this powerful Forum with an influential woman who has dedicated her life to advocating for those impacted by systemic injustices. At the 10:00 a.m. Sally Howard preaches. Coventry Choir offers Ave Maria by Vavilov/Gruberman with soloist Kyla McCarrel; Vox Cambiata offers Cuncta Simus by Soto. At 12:00 p.m.: Teach-In: The Islamic History of Israel/Palestine — longtime Interfaith partner Salam Al-Marayati, president and co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, will lead us in a Teach-In on The Islamic History of Israel/Palestine. An understanding of the Islamic narrative to the discourse is important for effecting peacemaking efforts, both within the interfaith community and among our decision-makers. At 5:00 p.m. we offer Advent Evensong — Trouvères and Canterbury Choir, accompanied by harp, offer A Ceremony of Carols by Britten; Gillian Garcia offers a meditation.
