Rival parties agree to postpone vote on PM nominee next week / YTN

Rival political parties have agreed to postpone a vote on the confirmation of prime minister nominee Lee One-Koo until next Monday. Ruling Saenuri Party Floor Leader Yoo Seong-Min and his counterpart Rep. Woo Yoon-Keun of the main opposition New Politics Alliance for Democracy (NPAD) concurred in putting off the scheduled plenary session on Thursday. However, the NPAD side has raised the possibility that it may boycott the session, rejecting President Park Geun-Hye's pick for prime minister. Its deputy floor leader said the postponement agreement does not mean the opposition's approval of Lee's nomination. The Saenuri Party said it will push ahead with the vote for the prime minister nominee on Feb. 16 as newly scheduled, even if the opposition lawmakers boycott the session.
