Be ready for a lycan attack as you reach an open area with several ledges - and take the path up to a small bridge overlooking the area. As you move toward the right, the Lycans will begin their attack, but you’ll be next to a trough with some Rusted Scrap and bags of flour. Use it to stun the group of attackers as they advance on you so that they can be eliminated before they deal any damage. Move towards the group of burning bodies to find an Herb, and look ahead to spot a few more Lycan waiting along the ridges - if they aren’t moving yet, get off some sniper shots to clear the herd before you mop up the rest.
