2010's Lords of Shadow proved that Castlevania could successfully be translated into the 3D realm, but without the aide of Hideo Kojima, what direction would the sequel to the reboot take? With unnecessary changes in direction, and endless filler, LOS2 is in a constant battle with itself -- moments of brilliance are chipped away by long areas of mediocrity and frustration.
