After watering thoroughly leave some remaining water in catch trays for plants to use throughout the time you’re gone 3. Set up some DIY self watering wick systems for extra thirsty plants 4. Turn off grow lights or set shorter timers 5. Bring smaller outdoor plants inside, and add watering globes to any outdoor plants if you can. If you’re only done about 7-10 days, most of your plants should be fine with just a thorough watering right before you leave, but if you’re planning a longer vacation or just want to be safe, try some of these tips and your plants will make it through your vacation happy and alive!
