A ton of trains and some interesting catches at Fullerton! 8/18/16

(Sorry it took so long Chase, LOL) On August 18 I went up to Fullerton station to do some railfanning with one of my friends. This was about a week after I had returned from Scotland and the first time I had been back to Fullerton in about 4 or 5 years so it felt good to grab some shots here. I rode up on Amtrak 567 and returned on 582 and during that time a lot of trains showed up and so did a few interesting catches! The eastbound BNSF ethanol train was also parked on the middle track the whole time we were there and we learned from one of the foamers there that it had been parked for several days because of the Blue Cut fire in Cajon Pass. Train 1: Amtrak #567, the train I rode up from San Diego, departs the station with F59PHI #460 providing power. I never saw which cab car was in charge. Train 2: Just as #460 clears a westbound BNSF intermodal passes by on track 3. I was only able to catch the last engine, which was BNSF Dash 9-44CW #4549. Train 3: The La Mirada local crosses over from track 2 to track 3 with BNSF GP60M #154 and Ex-Santa Fe Bluebonnet GP60 #182 providing power Train 4: A westbound intermodal crosses over to track three, lead by 3 ES44C4s (#s 6734, 8181, & 8125) and 2 Dash 9-44CWs (#s 5449 & 4565) Train 5: Northbound Amtrak #769 arrives and departs Fullerton with cab car #6952 leading and F59PHI #462 trailing. Train 6: Southbound Amtrak #572 makes its' station stop, lead by F59PHI #458 with cab car #6951 on the end. Train 7: An eastbound intermodal pulls up alongside the ethanol train to wait for track 2 to be cleared. Power consists of ES44DC #7550, ES44C4 #6704, and Dash 9-44CWs #s 4964 & 5506. Train 8: A massive 11-engine power move rolls through the station! Engines are (in order) ES44DCs #s 7689, 7248, and 7602; ES44C4s #s 7081 and 8290; Dash 9-44CW #5460; ES44DC #7285; ES44C4 #8347; ES44DC #7229; ES44C4 #7957; and AC4400CW #5653. Once the power move has cleared, the eastbound intermodal gets a green to proceed. When these next 4 trains showed up I was eating the the station cafe. I originally wasn't going to film the two Amtraks, but when I saw the engine on 774 I dropped my food and ran to get it before it left. Train 9: Northbound Amtrak #573 departs Fullerton with F59PHIs #s 463 & 454 doubleheaded. Train 10: Amtrak 774 departs from track 3 with Phase 1 heritage P42DC #156 providing power! Cab car #6908 can be seen on the end. Train 11: An westbound intermodal rolls by with some interesting power! ES44C4 #6668 leads a GP39R (#2768), Ex-Santa Fe Bluebonnet GP60 #184, Ex-Santa Fe Bluebonnet GP38 #2194, and another ES44C4 #6989. Train 12: Another westbound intermodal makes an appearance with Dash 9-44CWs #s 4038 & 5151 and ES44DC #7428 doing the honors. Another set of Gevos (ES44DC #7239 and ES44C4 #6787) serve as the DPUs Train 13: The first Metrolink of the day. Seen from the pedestrian overpass, train 634 departs Fullerton with an unknown BNSF AC4400CW leading and F59PH #863 trailing. Train 14: Yet another westbound intermodal runs under the pedestrian overpass. Engines are ES44DC #7641, Dash 9-44CW #4261, ES44C4 #7061, an unknown Gevo, and a tier 4 ET44C4 #3813! Train 15: Northbound Surfliner lucky 7 arrives and departs Fullerton with cab car #6903 & F59PHI #464. Train 16: Another westbound intermodal crosses over to track 1 with a 4-pack of Gevos leading. Engines are ES44C4 #8097, ES44DC #7715, and two unknowns. Train 17: Metrolink 684 departs Fullerton after making its' station stop. MP36PH-3C #897 leads with cab car #674 trailing. Train 18: Southbound Amtrak #580 arrives and departs Fullerton with F59PHI #460 on the head end and cab car #6900 on the tail end. Train 19: Northbound Amtrak #579 arrives and departs Fullerton with cab car #6901 and F59PHI #459 Train 20: Metrolink 602 does its' business at Fullerton with MP36PH-3C #892 up front and BNSF AC4400CW #5626 on the end. Train 21: Metrolink 702 knocks down the green as it departs Fullerton. MP36PH-3C #898 leads with BNSF AC4400CW #5662 trailing. Train 22: An eastbound intermodal cruises through the station with a trio of Gevos (ES44C4s #s 7921 & 6902 and ES44DC #7857) and Dash 9-44CW #4092 leading. Train 23: After completing its' station stop Metrolink 686 departs Fullerton with F59PH #868 and BNSF AC4400CW #5648 Train 24: An eastbound manifest rolls through the station with quite a few engines. Engines are (in order) ES44DCs #s 7762, 7717, 7730 & 7260; ES44C4 #4286; SD70ACe #9128, and Dash 9-44CW #4825. Train 25: Amtrak #582, my train back to San Diego, arrives at Fullerton with F59PHI #463 leading. I didn't get the cab car that was trailing.
