Cuba relaxes travel restrictions starting this week | Indian Journo

Cuba has decided to ease travel health regulations. Wednesday, the country will ease covid limitations. Vaccination certificates or even a negative COVID 19 report are not required upon arrival, according to National Director of Hygiene and Epidemiology Francisco Duran. However, reports indicate that COVID 19 random sampling will occur at airports and ports. This is aimed at passengers from countries with a high proportion of COVID 19 cases. Those who test positive will be hospitalized and must follow all COVID 19 guidelines. Passengers must also remember that other COVID measures such as masks, social distance, and hand washing remain in effect. This was due to the high vaccination rate (against Covid-19), with three doses and a booster dose given to a considerable portion of the population, according to Francisco Duran. With a population of 11.2 million, the country has vaccinated over 9.9 million.
