Chromatica Spring Concert 2024 Second Half Peace Lutheran Church

This is the second half of the concert program presented by Chromatica on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at Peace Lutheran Church in Danville, California - "The Transforming Power of Music and Singing." The first half of the program featured the encore World Premiere performance of "TRANSFIGURATIONS" - a six-part choral work commissioned by Dan Peterson for Chromatica with Composer Christopher Tin and Poet/Lyricist Charles Anthony Silvestri. This part of the concert included a piano solo by Julie Baumann Rieth of Christopher Tin's composition "Nocturne" followed by "Dancing on the Edges of Time" (Carnahan), "Flight Song" (Arnesen), "Sing Out My Soul" (Garratt), "Refuge" (Hagenberg), "Voces Lucis" (Ramsey - with lyrics by Charles Anthony Silvestri) and the Finale - "Sogno di Volare" composed and conducted by Christopher Tin. Our thanks to our cellist - Lewis Patzner for his excellent work on "Transfigurations" in the first half and on "Refuge" and "Voces Lucis" in the second half.
