One of the new guys in our club recently asked why Ronda Rousey is so good at Juji Gatame. One of the many reasons why is the fact that she has a structured training program and drills constantly on Juji Gatame. Remember, the old saying "practice makes perfect" is not always true-if you practice incorrectly done skills, doing a lot of repetitions only reinforces bad behavior. It is more accurate to say that correct practice develops correctly-done skills. Learn it right and practice it a lot the right way and it will work for you when you need it to work on resisting, fit and motivated opponents.
